Traceability is an integral part of feedlot operations, enabling producers to make informed animal health and management decisions. Effective traceability throughout the entire Canadian beef supply chain would allow for rapid identification and response to disease outbreaks and emergency situations, while also supporting market access and strengthening confidence in Canadian beef at home and abroad.
