NCFA submitted a letter on the Mercosur trade deal to MPs and Senators.
We recognize that the Government of Canada is moving quickly with Mercosur negotiations and we urge all Members of Parliament to ensure that the outcome of these negotiations does not result in a negative impact for Canada’s beef producers.
Allowing beef access in the Mercosur trade deal would result in increased imports of low-quality beef raised with lower standards for animal health, labour, food safety and environmental.
